On March 10 I cycled from Ruakaka to Wellsford as part of the Plunket ride.
I also cycled from Wellsford to Ruakaka but that was just to get back to my car! Going via the coast to avoid the state highway traffic and riding up the Brenderwyn Hill (~300m high) twice in a day!
116km all up, 54km of the P4P route.
Plunket and The Warehouse want to ensure that all New Zealanders have the opportunity to feel connected within their community. We want to make sure no family and whānau is left isolated, disconnected or unable to cope. That’s why I’ve taken up the challenge to help The Warehouse ride the length of New Zealand to raise money for Plunket.
Plunket playgroups, toy libraries, and coffee groups enable parents and whānau to build safe, supportive connections in their community that will help to make the difference of a lifetime in the first 1000 days of a child’s life.
These important community services are all funded through donations, and that’s why I need your help. I’m doing the hard work and riding the bike, so all I’m asking is that you please support me and Plunket by donating here.
Every little bit helps.
